What the calculator does with your choices
The CPU, graphics card and settings you pick are processed by JavaScript in your browser. They are never sent to us, because the site has no server-side code or database.
Your current selection is kept in the page address (for example ?cpu=ryzen-5-7600&gpu=rtx-5070) so you can bookmark or share a result. That link only contains hardware names and settings. When you press Copy link, the address is copied to your clipboard and goes nowhere else.
Cookies and local storage
This site doesn't set cookies. If you use the light/dark switch in the header, your choice is saved in your browser's localStorage under the key theme so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time by clearing site data. Nothing else is stored.
Fonts
The site's typeface, Geist, is served from our own domain together with the rest of the site. No font requests go to Google or any other third party, so loading a page doesn't share your IP address with a font provider.
Hosting and server logs
Like any website, our hosting provider automatically processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of visit, so it can serve pages and protect against abuse. We don't combine this data with anything else or use it to identify visitors.
Analytics and advertising
We don't currently use analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
If we add them in future (for example a privacy-friendly analytics tool, Google Analytics or Google AdSense), we'll update this page before they go live. It will name each provider, explain what it collects and whether it uses cookies, and link to its own privacy policy. Where the law requires it, we'll ask for your consent first, and you'll be able to opt out of personalised ads.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own, so check their policies when you visit them.
Children
The site is a general-audience tool. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes and contact
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes too. Questions about privacy? Email us using the address on the contact page.
